An antique appraisal is the process of evaluating the quality, value, and history of a vintage or an antique item.

The realizable value of any given objet is subject to many variables. Each item offered is researched and valued according to comparable items sold in the secondary marketplace. The real market value of all items is dynamic and changes on a continual basis, as collecting trends and demographic shifts affect supply and demand.
Unlike many appraisers, we specialize and actually sell the items we appraise - selling thousands of items per year and valuing many more. It is our job to be knowledgeable on what is happening in the secondary market, both locally and internationally, and in what trends are currently affecting values. Too often we see appraisers that are not experienced in the real world of buying and selling fine household furnishings, antiques, jewellery, objets de virtue and other items of value.
Our goal is to make the auction estimate appraisal process as simple as possible for clients. To begin, give us a call to discuss your items.
